Dakshineswar Kali Maa Temple is a Hindu temple situated in Dakshineswar near Kolkata, West Bengal, India. The temple was built in the 19th century by Rani Rashmoni, a philanthropist and devotee of Kali.


Adyapeath is dedicated to Maa Kali, who is worshipped as the divine mother and the destroyer of evil. The temple was founded by Sri Anandamayi Ma, in 1926.


Belur Math is a spiritual organization founded by Swami Vivekananda, a disciple of Sri Ramakrishna Paramhansa. The main temple is dedicated to Sri Ramakrishna, Sarada Devi, and Swami Vivekananda.

One-day staying trip to Mayapur is home to the famous ISKCON temple, one of the largest temples in the world. Mayapur is in Nadia District, West Bengal, situated adjacent to Nabadwip, at the confluence of two rivers, Jalangi River mix with Bhagirathi, a distributary of the Ganges. Inside the temple, you can see the magnificent deities of Pancatattva, Lord Nrisingha Dev, Srila Prabhupada, and Radha-Madhav with the Gopis. This is a place flowing with devotion like no other place on earth.

Nabadwip  Dham is famous for being the birthplace of Sri Chaitanya Mahaprabhu (1486–1534), a saint and a Bengali spiritual teacher who founded Gaudiya Vaishnavism.

Jorasanko Thakur Bari is the ancestral home of the Tagore family, especially the Nobel laureate poet Rabindranath Tagore. Constructed in the 18th century, the mansion serves as a significant cultural and historical landmark.


Kalighat is regarded as one of the 51 Shakti Peethas, where it is believed that the toes of the right foot of Dakshayani or Sati fell.

Victoria Memorial is a large marble monument, an iconic structure that stands as a tribute to Queen Victoria, the Empress of India (1876-1901).

Netaji Bhawan was the ancestral home of Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose, a prominent Indian nationalist and freedom fighter who played a key role in the country's struggle for independence from British colonial rule.

Prinsep Ghat is a beautiful riverside promenade that was built in 1841. The ghat is also used for various recreational activities, such as picnics, boat rides, and evening walks.


Sundarbans is the largest mangrove forest, situated on the border of India and Bangladesh. Renowned for its rich biodiversity, it is home to the Bengal tiger. Chatra Sitala Mandir is a popular Hindu temple dedicated to the Goddess Sitala.


Nistarini Kali Mata Mandir is dedicated to the Goddess Kali.


Mahesh Jagannath Temple is dedicated to Lord Jagannath, an incarnation of Lord Vishnu, and is one of the oldest and most revered temples in the region. It was built in 1755.

Gangasagar, where the Ganges River meets the Bay of Bengal, is home to the Kapil Muni Temple. Millions of Hindu devotees visit annually to take a holy dip at the confluence for spiritual purification.
